What Makes It Different

The key difference is the expanded compatibility. Previously limited to the .45-70 Marlin 1895, the updated ELG Hand Guard now fits the 1894 and 336 models thanks to a simple clamp swap that accommodates different magazine tube diameters. This means owners of the incredibly popular .30-30 Marlin 336, for example, can now easily add M-LOK attachment points to their rifle. This allows for the addition of lights, lasers, bipods, and other accessories, greatly increasing the versatility of these classic firearms. While other aftermarket handguards exist for lever actions, Magpul’s reputation for quality and durability, combined with the widespread M-LOK standard, makes this a compelling upgrade.

Henry Repeating Arms Updates

In addition to the Magpul news, Henry Repeating Arms is making waves with several updates to their lineup. They’ve released the .45-70 Bear’s Leg pistol, featuring a threaded barrel, M-LOK handguard, and fiber optic sights, with an MSRP of $1,129. They’ve also introduced the Henry H1 Bandit, an optics-ready .22 LR lever gun geared towards new shooters. Further, Henry is expanding their rimfire offerings and introducing new finishes like the Burnt Bronze Cerakote on their Explorer series. They’ve also reorganized their All-American series into Predator, Protector, and Provider models.

Chiappa Firearms New Release

Chiappa Firearms has announced the 92 Core, a .44 Magnum lever-action rifle with an 8+1 capacity and a 16.5-inch hammer-forged barrel, positioned as a practical field rifle. MSRP is not yet announced.

Big Horn Armory Tactical Lever Gun

Big Horn Armory introduced the Model 89 CAT 5, a tactical .500 S&W Magnum lever-action with a threaded barrel and modular fore-end developed with Ranger Point Tactical. It features a Picatinny scout rail for optics and accessories.
