Firearm Shipping

Firearms must ship to a local dealer holding a Federal Firearms License (FFL). You can search for one at the FFL Registry. BT Gun Company has no relationship with dealers listed there — contact your chosen FFL first to confirm they’re available and willing to complete the transfer. They’ll accept your firearm, run your background check, and typically charge a small transfer fee.

You’re responsible for contacting your receiving FFL and having them email their license to [email protected].

You’re responsible for knowing the firearms laws in your area. See Prohibited Items below for what happens if an order can’t legally be completed.

Shipping Rates

Rates depend on the shipping carrier used. We do not ship to Hawaii or Alaska. Ammunition and oversized accessories are charged at actual shipping cost.

Shipping method is at BT Gun Company’s discretion. If you need a carrier other than what we’d normally use — for example, your dealer can’t receive USPS mail — you may choose an alternative carrier, which may involve an additional charge. Expedited shipping and processing also incur additional charges.

Proper Addressing

The shipping address you provide must be correct. If an item is returned to us by the shipper due to an address issue, you’ll need to pay for reshipping, or a 20% restocking fee (minimum $50) applies if you decline to reship. BT Gun Company is responsible for loss or damage only while an item is in transit — once delivered, we’re not responsible for items left at a delivery location, stolen, or otherwise affected after drop-off. It’s your responsibility to confirm your dealer will be open, or that your delivery address can receive the package.

Processing & Shipping Times

We typically ship within 1–3 business days (Monday–Friday) after payment and all required FFL documentation are received. Time to arrival after shipment depends on the carrier.

Prohibited Items

If you order an item that’s not legal in your state, that you’re not old enough to receive, that you fail a background check on, or that you’re otherwise ineligible to purchase, you’re responsible for return shipping plus a $75 restocking fee — no exceptions. State laws change frequently; it’s your responsibility to know the laws in your state (and federal law) before ordering.

Return Policy

All sales are final — we don’t offer refunds. If we ship the wrong item, or it arrives damaged, we cover return and redelivery shipping costs. Inspect your firearm at your FFL’s location before completing ATF Form 4473 — once that form is signed, the firearm is considered yours. If your transfer is denied by the ATF, or otherwise can’t be completed, a 20% restocking fee plus return shipping applies.
