Customer Responsibility

  • Responsible firearm use: firearms can be dangerous if used improperly. By purchasing through this site, you agree to follow the manufacturer’s safety instructions and to use firearms safely, lawfully, and only in approved areas.
  • Legal responsibility: you’re responsible for confirming that any item you purchase is legal to own where you live, before ordering.
  • Compliance with firearms laws: you’re responsible for complying with all firearms laws that apply to you. If you have any concern about the legality of an item you’ve ordered, contact us immediately.
  • Payment responsibility: you’re responsible for payment on all orders placed through this site. If you’re unsure about a purchase, don’t place the order.
  • Age requirement: you must be at least 18 to purchase any item from us, and 21 to purchase handguns or ATF-defined “other” firearms.
  • Identification requirement: we may require valid state identification before shipping your order, and a valid contact phone number is required on every order.

ITAR / EAR Export Compliance

By ordering from BT Gun Company, you certify that you (or anyone acting on your behalf) will not sell, transport, ship, or transfer any export-restricted product outside the United States, or to any foreign person, without proper U.S. government export authorization and documentation.

Export-restricted items include, but aren’t limited to: firearms, ammunition, electronic equipment, certain gear and firearm accessories, weapon-mounted or handheld optics (rifle and handgun scopes, night vision, holographic sights, red-dot optics, thermal vision), tactical lights and lasers, knives, and body armor (vests, helmets, and shields).

If you intend for an item to be exported, you must indicate this on your order — doing so does not obligate BT Gun Company to assist with export in any way. Exporting or attempting to export controlled or prohibited items without complying with U.S. export-control law can result in severe civil and criminal penalties. BT Gun Company will not participate, directly or indirectly, in the illegal export or re-export of any prohibited item.

Under ITAR § 120.16, a “foreign person” means any natural person who is not a U.S. lawful permanent resident or protected individual, and can include foreign corporations, business associations, international organizations, and foreign governments or their agencies.

Cancellations & Order Changes

A 20% cancellation/change fee applies if you cancel or change an order after it’s placed, online or through a sales associate — this helps us keep prices competitive.

Item Availability

If we run out of stock on an item with multiple orders placed, we honor the first funded order. Items are only set aside once an order is funded.

Online Price & Description Errors

Our online inventory may occasionally contain pricing or description errors. We reserve the right to refuse orders affected by such errors. If an order is shipped by mistake, we may ask you to return the item unopened at no charge to you. We aim for accuracy but don’t guarantee that every listing is error-free — if an item isn’t as described, your remedy is to return it unused.

Payment & Tax

Sales tax applies to orders shipped within Wisconsin, and other states where sales-tax nexus applies. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. Immediate credit card checkout and EFT are the only payment options available.

Compliance With State Laws

You’re responsible for ensuring your purchases comply with your local and state laws. Some states have specific restrictions, and we may require documentation for certain items. Orders that can’t be fulfilled due to state law will be canceled, and cancellation fees may apply.

Shipping

You’ll receive a tracking email once your order ships, and in most cases when it’s delivered. All firearms must ship to a Federal Firearms License (FFL) dealer. Processing times vary, and shipping to non-continental states incurs additional charges.

Product Availability

We don’t hold items without payment. Some items are drop-shipped, and while waiting on payment or FFL information, an item may sell out — unpaid items may be relisted.

Return Policy

All sales are final — we don’t offer refunds. If we ship the wrong item, or it arrives damaged, we cover return and redelivery shipping. Inspect your firearm at your FFL’s location before completing ATF Form 4473.
