Optimized for AR platforms, these all-copper Barnes TAC-TX BT 22 ARC bullets feature a larger tip for enhanced terminal performance in shorter barrels.

The Barnes TAC-TX bullet is a special purpose expanding all-copper bullet that is optimized around AR platforms. AR's feature shorter carbine length barrels which reduce the muzzle velocity when compared to a standard barrel length.
To achieve the same terminal performance that Barnes fans are used to we added a larger tip to allow more fluid to enter the nose and modified the bullet cavity to maximize expansion at lower velocities. These bullets track straighter through barriers and have better weight retention than lead-core bullets.

Orders typically ship within 1–3 business days (Monday–Friday) after payment and all required documentation are received. Time to arrival after shipment depends on the carrier. Shipping method is at BT Gun Company’s discretion; ammunition and oversized accessories are charged at actual shipping cost. We do not ship to Hawaii or Alaska.
FIREARM TRANSFERS
- Firearms must ship to a licensed FFL dealer of your choosing — confirm with them first that they can accept the transfer.
- Your receiving FFL will need to email their license to [email protected] before we can ship.
- Inspect your firearm at your FFL’s location before signing ATF Form 4473 — once signed, the firearm is considered accepted.
