The Hornady ELD Match with Heat Shield is a .224″” 75-grain component match bullet built for handloaders working up precision .22-caliber loads. Its standout advantage is a high radar-verified ballistic coefficient produced by the Heat Shield polymer tip that defies aerodynamic heating and holds its shape downrange. That stable tip gives you best-in-class BCs measured with Doppler radar and corrected to standard atmospheric conditions so the numbers you load to are the numbers you can trust.
The Heat Shield tip design resists friction heat that softens conventional polymer tips so every bullet keeps a consistent perfect meplat from the first round of the box to the last. A streamlined secant ogive pairs with an optimum boattail to cut drag through the whole flight. Highly concentric AMP (Advanced Manufacturing Process) jackets keep each bullet balanced for tight repeatable groups on paper.
At 75 grains this is a heavy .224″” projectile so it stabilizes best in faster-twist barrels. Match it to the right twist rate in a standard .224″” bore and this ELD Match bullet delivers high accuracy with strong bullet and lot consistency at the bench. FIREARM TRANSFERS
- Firearms must ship to a licensed FFL dealer of your choosing — confirm with them first that they can accept the transfer.
- Your receiving FFL will need to email their license to [email protected] before we can ship.
