SK Standard Plus is a .22 LR training and target cartridge built to give smallbore shooters consistent affordable practice that translates into real results on paper and steel. Loaded with a 40-grain lead round nose bullet that leaves the muzzle at 1073 fps it delivers the steady repeatable performance that makes it easy to build trigger control follow-through and shot-to-shot consistency without burning through a premium match budget. That balance of dependable accuracy and everyday value is exactly why it has earned its reputation as one of SK’s most trusted standard-velocity rounds.
Manufactured in Germany by SK this load pairs a 40-grain Lead Round Nose (LRN) bullet with a brass case for consistent target and training use. The standard-velocity 1073 fps rating produces roughly 102 ft-lbs of muzzle energy at the test barrel keeping recoil and report low. This means you can stay focused on form through long practice sessions. Able to run cleanly in both rifles and pistols Standard Plus is a versatile choice for anyone splitting time between a bolt-action smallbore rifle a semi-auto plinker or a rimfire target pistol. It is a natural stepping stone for shooters who want a training round that behaves predictably enough to give them the confidence to move up toward SK’s match-grade offerings.
