Description

Available in various diameters the Forster Outside Neck Turner Pilot is affordable. For someone who enjoys reloading this pilot guarantees consistent release of the bullet from the case neck. In order for the bullet to release at the point of ignition the neck has to expand.

If the side of the case neck is thicker on one side the bullet will release too soon causing misalignment of bullet-to-bore that will affect accuracy. This pilot grinds the steel points which are known as mandrels to 0.002 to 0.0025 inches smaller than the diameter of the bullet for the best performance.
