.45-70 Govt

.45-70 Govt ammunition is made for rifles chambered in this historic, hard-hitting centerfire cartridge. It is commonly chosen by hunters pursuing deer, elk, and other large game, as well as by shooters who enjoy lever-action, single-shot, and classic hunting rifles. This category also appeals to owners of modern .45-70 rifles looking for dependable ammunition for the range or field. When choosing a load, consider bullet weight and construction, your intended use, the game or target involved, and the ammunition your specific rifle is designed to handle. Recoil, accuracy in your rifle, and practical carry or storage needs can also influence the right choice. Browse the broader Rifle Ammunition category for related options.
